The Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® invites you to a Contractor's Perspective for REALTORS® class on Thursday, March 6, from 9:30 - 10:30 am. 

 

Whether you are new to real estate or a seasoned professional, knowing how to look at a home like a contractor is priceless. Be an excellent resource for your clients by learning what contractors look for and why. Learn about typical repairs and contractor services in the following areas:

  • Electrical wiring
  • Plumbing system
  • Structure/roof
  • Decks
  • Windows and doors

The class is lead by Steve Bredernitz, owner of Bredernitz Professional Services, teaches kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeling and other construction classes at Washtenaw Community College.

 

The event is free for members to attend and $25 for non-members.

About CRS

CRS two-day courses earn you credit toward the industry's premier designation in residential real estate. With the CRS Designation, you become part of a network of more than 30,000 Certified Residential Specialist Designees and Candidates/General Members. Additionally, this course will help you earn 16 hours of continuing education credit in Michigan.

 

Earning the CRS Designation

  1. REALTOR® membership in a local board of REALTORS® and active membership in the Council of Residential Specialists
  2. Completion of required course work
  3. Submit the Designation application and documentation satisfying all Designation requirements

About the Instructor

Instructor Mark Porter is a residential real estate broker, investor and consultant. Mark's
ultimate passion is helping you implement what it takes to "be" and "do" better. Planning, systems, technology and implementation is what he is passionate about.

Mark is a 23 year veteran of the real estate industry and currently the broker owner of Castle Hills Real Estate. When he is not teaching he is helping Castle Hills Subdivision area community buy, sell and invest in real estate. This 2,500-acre master-planned golf course community on the North side of Dallas is located inside Lewisville, Texas.

By age 23, Mark averaged 52 real estate transactions a year with a 10 day average market time and a 99% list price to sales price ratio. By 25, he helped pioneer technology in real estate by bringing hands on classes to REALTORS® nationwide throughout the 90's. Mark's efforts contribute to the successes of the most significant designation in real estate, CRS, Certified Residential Specialist. 

Registration Deadlines and Fees

The registration deadline is March 24. Register by March 19 for the Early Registration Rate of $350. After March 19, registration is $390.
